Kim Burge joined the Keller Independent School
District as a
Home Economics teacher in 1979. In the Spring of 1980, Mrs. Burge
assumed the position of Indianette Director, a post she has held for
20
years. She holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the
University of
North Texas.
Throughout the years, her teams have won top honors and the Indianettes have performed for commercials, numerous Dallas Cowboys pregame and halftime performances, community events, the Worlds Fair, the New Orleans Saints, the World Cup opening ceremonies, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Cotton Bowl parade, and more. Mrs. Burge has been active in her professional organizations by serving on the executive board of the national organization, Dance/Drill Team Directors of America, as President, First Vice President, Sergeant at Arms, Workshop manager and the editor DTDA's publication, Insight.
